maria pestana art gallery online intends to provide a commercial launch of the art works of selected international artists. Our intention is to promote young artists and less well known artists who have been chosen for their technical skills, personality or creative imagination. Also among our compromises is to present the artist to international competitions and prizes.

We offer to collectors personal consultancy services to assist them in developing their collections according to their special interests or in exploring new branches of contemporary art to begin collecting. In addition we firmly believe in promoting the excitement, pleasure and fascination of collecting art to a new generation of collectors and thus we offer advice and guidance all aspects of how to start, build and develop an art collection.

Ana Guilarte (Spain)

Ana Guilarte (Spain) is a young artist who explores her creative abilities through the mixed of different media techniques specially collage. She is very spontaneous in her works until the point that there is not a plan, everything comes according to a non specific flow, or her mood at a particular moment. Perhaps, this way of creating explains the feelings that her works produce - there is something still unfinished in her works. Occasionally the artist chooses her works to be untitled. Then, she prefers to wait for the viewer's reaction.

Ana Guilarte (1980) is a young artist from Spain living in London, UK.

“Preparo el lienzo y afronto la obra sin saber realmente como voy a finalizarla. La improvisación es mi principal fuente creativa, y las ideas y conceptos van madurando gradualmente a lo largo de este proceso. Mi obra fusiona diferentes colores y tonalidades – grises, azules, tierra y rojo, siendo éste último una constante a lo largo de toda mi obra. Mis cuadros  son una expresión de mis sentimientos, mis diferentes estados de ánimo y recuerdos del pasado. En ellos predominan las líneas horizontales, pero dejo que la imaginación del espectador cree e identifique sus propias imágenes y formas, que siempre me sorprenden. Igualmente dejo la mayoría de mis obras sin titular, voluntariamente, con el fin de dejar vía libre a esta interpretación. Es precisamente la reacción y la sensación que causan mis cuadros en el espectador la principal  razón por la que sigo pintando." (Ana Guilarte, 2010)
